The Congado of Ouro Preto – held on January 12, this celebration of Our Lady of the Rosary in honor of king Chico is a procession created by enslaved people that continues to this day, with lots of music and beautiful colorful embroidered clothing.

 

Serro Cheeses – for the people of Minas Gerais, this is not news, but for visitors from other states, tasting the cheeses from the city of Serro is a discovery of flavors.

 

The Church of N. Sra. Da Conceição in Sabará – it is little visited by those traveling the Royal Road, but it has one of the most impressive interiors among the churches in Minas Gerais and Brazil.

 

 Tabuleiro Waterfall – For the nature lovers, it's the largest waterfall in Minas Gerais.

The village of Itatiaia – located in the municipality of Ouro Branco, the village is an open-air museum with houses painted with graffiti by contemporary Minas Gerais artists.

 

Santo Antônio Church in Santa Barbara – the painted ceiling, the gilded Baroque altars are beautiful.

 

Santo Amaro Church in Brumal – the small district of Santa Barbara holds a Baroque gem.
